What do you write for a first blog post when you’ve never written a blog before? Do you dive right in? Ease into it? Go sit at Starbucks and stare at the screen for twenty minutes before even writing the date, like I’m doing?
I guess a why is in order and honestly I have no idea, I’m probably crazy. I wanted a way to keep in touch with everyone back home when I move in December, a way to share my life in more than just a caption on a picture. So naturally my next idea was a blog, I could write whats happening and explain the story, events, and feelings behind the pictures on my social media. It hopefully will also save me time in not having to tell the same story over and over in various messages and emails once I”m away. Also a little reflection and therapy wouldn’t go amiss.
Since this was meant to be geared towards the stories while I’m in London and my experiences it might be weird to start two and half months in advance but this is me easing into it and the blogging world. Also, it allows me to share the crazy stress that is my final semester as an undergrad and the planning behind moving not only me but also the eighty pound, high maintenance, spastic dog, that is Kendall. She may be crazy but she’s my crazy, which means she’s coming along for the ride no matter how stressful it is to get her there.
Hopefully, I can stick with this and learn how to write a story that people actually want to read. Wish me luck!
xx
